Effect of Crystallization Conditions on the Metastable Zone Width and Nucleation Kinetics of p ‐Aminobenzoic Acid in Ethanol

A detailed knowledge of the metastable zone width (MSZW) and nucleation kinetics is vital for the design of batch cooling crystallization processes. Factors such as cooling rate and impeller speed affect the MSZW and nucleation kinetics. Crystallization and dissolution temperatures were measured as a function of cooling rate and impeller speed during the batch cooling crystallization of p ‐aminobenzoic acid (pABA) from ethanol in a 0.5‐L stirred‐tank crystallizer. The polythermal experimental data were analyzed using the Nyvlt and first principles‐based Kashchiev‐Borissova‐Hammond‐Roberts (KBHR) methods. In all experimental cases, the latter model revealed that the nucleation process of pABA in ethanol was dominated by an instantaneous nucleation mechanism. The Nyvlt and KBHR analyses delivered a range of parameter values associated with a power‐law model describing the nucleation rate as well as the concentration of nuclei

State of the art on pre-tensioning steel straps confinement: literature review

This paper presents the state-of-the-art of the current research development on pre-tensioning steel straps confinement. Critical review was conducted based on careful selection of references to provide in-depth overview in the development of this confining technique. The paper was started with highlighting the features of such confining technique, then an extensive description of the connection clip systems was presented. The experimental and numerical investigations performed on steel-strapped concrete structures were discussed at length in the paper. The potential usage of pre-tensioning steel straps confinement in increasing the bond properties of confined concrete and as a repairing technique of damaged concrete were also covered in this paper

IMPLEMENTASI FILTERING BERBASIS SQUID3 MENGGUNAKAN OTENTIKASI LDAP DAN MANAGEMENT BANDWIDTH

Internet merupakan sebuah kebutuhan wajib bagi sebagian besar orang untuk melakukan kegiatan sehari-hari. Masalah muncul saat akses internet tidak terlindungi sehingga dapat menyebabkan kerawanan terhadap keamanan data dari pengguna internet.Kerawanan tersebut dapat memudahkan pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab untuk memanfaatkannya. Solusi dari masalah tersebut adalah membuat otentikasi pengguna, melakukan pembatasan website yang dapat diakses dan mengatur besar bandwidth yang didapat oleh pengguna. Adapaun pembangunan management bandwidth dengan LDAP ( Light Directory Access Protocol ) pada sistem ini tidak saling terhubung.Kemudian dirancanglahmanagementbandwidth menggunakan WebHTB,dan juga untuk otentikasi user digunakan LDAP ( Light Directory Access Management ) yang memungkinkan hanya user yang terotentikasi yang dapat mengakses layanan internet. Hasil dari pengujian ini adalah pengguna dapat mengakses internet dengan bandwidth yang terbatas, situs-situs yang tidak atau kurang ada manfaatnya dapat terblokir, dan sebelum melakukan akses internetpengguna harus melakukan otentikasi.Dengan adanya hal tersebut pengguna akses internetdapat lebihaman untuk mengakses layanan internet yang tersedia.
